Mia & Katrin, founders of SAILAMOON

It all began in 2023 when Mia asked Katrin over a cozy coffee: «What if we offered a sailing trip for women, with a space to connect and recharge?» This sparked the idea for Women’s Sailing Trips. Neither Mia nor Katrin come from a sailing background. Their passion lies in hosting and creating meaningful experiences. That’s where Captain Nootch comes in, ensuring smooth and safe sailing on every journey.

The first Women’s Sailing Trip launched within months, combining sailing with sound and connection circles. Since then, countless journeys have blended sailing with singing and connection, creating unforgettable experiences for women from all over the world.

In 2026, the project became SAILAMOON, a name inspired by the spirit of sailing and the moon, which holds a special place in Mia and Katrin’s hearts. It reflects the energy and rhythm of each journey. The original SAILAMOON Immersive trips with Mia & Katrin will continue, with plans for even deeper and more immersive experiences. In addition, Katrin now leads a new trip format SAILAMOON Explorer focused on exploring, light movement, and simple morning rituals.

Mia Mayah

Mia is a musician and conscious facilitator who creates spaces for deep connection through sound experiences, singing circles and women’s circles. She supports people in reconnecting with their inner and outer voice, inviting authentic expression in a safe and nurturing environment.

In addition to her musical work, Mia is a gifted photographer specialising in conscious photography. Through both music and imagery, she is dedicated to capturing essence, fostering meaningful connection and supporting people in expressing their true selves.

Katrin Uhlmann

Katrin is a passionate host and connector who loves bringing people together around good food, creativity and shared experiences. She creates warm, welcoming spaces where people feel at home and truly seen.

A sunrise hunter and explorer at heart, she loves hiking, wandering and discovering new places. She works across the event world and is opening a creative atelier in her hometown in sprin 2026, curating spaces for creativity, connection and community. Always guided by her love for hosting and bringing people together.

Hadrien «Nootch» Kieny

Captain Nootch is an experienced and passionate skipper who spends the sailing season based in Kos. He has been leading trips in the Greek islands for several seasons and knows the area like the back of his hand, ensuring both safety and memorable experiences for his guests.

With years of experience running his own travel company, he has guided countless adventures. Beyond his expertise on the water, he is also a talented cook and enjoys preparing delicious meals for friends and guests. And yes, he’s also Mia’s dad.
